The world longest and highest glass bridge is in Zhanjiajie, located in Hunan Province, China. It also named Yuntiandu ,means traveling in the cloud.
Yuntiandu was built in 2012 and completed in 2016. On December 20, 2016, Chen Zhidong, the chairman of Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Scenic Area, dressed up as Santa Claus and stood on the glass bridge to launch a global call for bridge names-------finally, the name Yuantiandu (traveling in the cloud) was chosen.
The total length of Yuntiandu is 536 meters, and the bridge deck is more than 280 meters away from the valley bottom; There are a total of 4 cable towers in the entire bridge, with a maximum height of 40.65 meters.

The Yuntiandu Glass Bridge uses multi-layer tempered laminated glass, the entire glass bridge uses 99 pieces of glass, each measuring approximately 4.42 meters in length, 3.01 meters in width, and 5 centimeters in thickness, with a single piece weighing about 1.5 tons. This type of glass is manufactured through special processes and has extremely strong impact resistance. Even if the outer glass is shattered, the inner glass remains intact due to the adhesive and buffering effects of the colloid. Therefore, these glasses not only have strong load-bearing capacity, with each piece capable of bearing at least 60 tons, but also have extremely high safety.

In 2016, Yuntiandu officially invited personnel from various sources, including BBC journalists, to conduct on-site testing of the glass. The tester held a hammer and continuously hammered the glass, but the result was shocking: the glass remained intact after enduring a large number of blows. In the end, even BBC journalists had to acknowledge the strength and excellence of Chinese manufacturing.
